I'm looking to paint my EJ1 next week while i have some time off work and have some questions.

1. I was looking into getting a gun to use with my compressor (just a 10 gallon compressor) vs rolling it on... which is preferred by you guys?

2. Also... I have also heard that using urethane paint as it's sprayed on tends to dry quickly and work better than regular acrylic paints.

3. Do I need to primer after bondo or can I just lay down the coats?

 

I would prime it. You should invest in some good sanding supplies because your gonna need it.

 

yeah i was going to rent an electric buffer, sander and a painter too in an attempt to make it easier

 

coming from a painter, dont do it your going to ruin your car. the best advice is to save up and get a good paint job or dont do it at all.
