Default h22a swap into 2000 accord dx

Hello everyone, i was looking into swapping a 97-98 H22A Type S (from h-motors online) into my 2000 Accord (F23A5 motor), but had a couple questions as to the complexity of the swap. I've looked looked through my Accord's service manual and a USDM 97-99 Prelude service manual to see the similarities and differences of the two motors. My questions include:

Although the wiring for the two motors are very similar, what changes need to be made to the harness for the h22a? Seeing as i already have an AEM ECU in the accord (as it is turbo charged), i figured i would add the VTEC wiring and system and then load up a H22A base map before tuning it. This way i don't need to bother with the ob2a to obd2b conversion.

Although the motor mounts seem very similar in the factory service manuals, i've heard that the driver side mount needs to be changed/fabricated. Seeing as H-motors online provides the H22A mounts will those fit into my accord so that the stock mounts don't have to be fabricated?

My last question was concerning the axles. Will the accord's stock axles and half-shaft be the correct size for the H22a. In other words, will it all line up correctly?

Thank you all for your help, and hopefully my accord will get a nice upgrade this summer .

i put a H22 in a 2000 Accord before and it was a pain. You need the drivers side motor mount brackett from a 2000-01 Euro R Accord. All the other stuff you can use from your year model Accord. Manual motor mount brackets and mounts, ac, power steering, shift linkage, alt., wiring harness all from your year Accord. I wired the wiring harness for an OBD 1 computer. If your car is not a manual already I would not try it cause the one i did it on was not and it was a major pain.

If i had to do it again i would have just turbo charged the current motor.

Hope that helps.

Oh yeah the stock axles for a manual trans Accord will work with the H22 and a Skunk 2 intake manifold will deff NOT work, it hits the fire wall.

But i'm getting an OBD2 motor, and so am not converting to OBD1. so will the accord's wire harness work fine without modification?

Doubt it.... you will most likely need to lengthen... and relocate certain plugs

They're 99% identical

OBDII 5th is practically the same as an OBDII 6th

I am guessing you aren't able to read.

You're telling me the

"H22A swap into a 5th gen" link is broken?

That's funny, I just checked and WOW it works!

And like I said chief, they're 99% the same.

Such a nasty muffin man. The link titled "H22A Swap FAQs" is broken. And i have already read "H22A swap into a 5th gen" and many other 5th gen accord h22 swap articles. A really good article on h22a swap into 5th gen accord is on http://importnut.net/h22a_swap.htm btw. I was asking more specifically about the 6th gen accord.
