Default anyone know this bolt size??

the bolt that bolts the seatbelt into place (CIRCLED IN RED). Honda will not sell it separately so I have to grab one form home depot to bolt my c pillar bar in place. the car was stripped by the previous owner and i am missing these bolts

im not positive but i believe those r either a 12 or 14mm bolt as far as taking them out goes. now i think you want what size bolt. just take one out of a friends car go to the hardware store and match it up. SIMPLE

You could take the bolt from the opposite side of the car and take it to Lowe's. They have a nut/bolt section that has a template that you could stick the bolt into to find the right size bolt for your job.

Please, please, please read this thread. It hasn't gotten a lot of attention and it has some really helpful information for anyone on the site who might ever need a bolt size.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2048988

Get the part number from one of these sites (try SLHondaParts or HondaPartsDeals):
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2059889

Edit: Just realized you said they won't sell it separately. I'll check other markets to see if they do.

If theres a junkyard close by you can grab one from there alot cheaper than Home Depot

Checked overseas. Looks like it's sold the same way everywhere.

Check for salvage locally.

You dont buy hardware at home depot...buy it at ACE or another real hardware store.
Home depot is for lumber and drywall...and Lowes is for rubbermade tubs and light fixtures....

It needs to be a class 10.9 bolt and I sincerely doubt that home depot carries this class. 8.8 yes, but that is not enough for seatbelts - you would not want it failing in a crash.
(Class is for metric, grade is for std...theyre not the same!)

That's a good point. I wouldn't gamble with this part. It's not just there to hold something up so it looks a certain way.

The rules of bolt class still apply. In this instance I would say:
You wouldnt want the bolt to break off, in a crash, causing the bar to fling off and hit you in the head.
The bolt is still a critical piece. What was safety now moves to suspension, chassis rigidity, AND safety.
A structure is only as strong as the weakest link. Dont cop out on a bolt...

Like I said, go to ACE or a real hardware store...not home depot or lowes.
My whole point is that those locations dont carry hardware for automotive...its strong enough to hold a person walking on a deck or hold a fan to the ceiling...thats it.

I really hope you don't forget you put weak bolts in if you ever were to sell the car.
