I just finished my build z6/y7 D-series combo. Y7 block, Z6 head! After our tuning session the car ran great for a week. After that the coil burnt up and I started throwing the Code 9. Since the dizzy had atleast 100k miles on it, I just bought a re-manuf. one from Autozone. I put it in the car and it runs great. But randomly when I barely get on it (5-7lbs as I'm running 20lbs) it will re-throw that code. When I turn the car off and restart it the car will run perfect with no cel.

Any idea? Is the CYP on the dizzy as I'm sure they are? Again its a Z6 head, and dizzy!

 

Sounds like its a loose connection somewhere. Check the pins on the ECU and make sure they are all in place and not loose.

 

I planned on doing that today. I guess it could be in my jumper harness for the dizzy as well....
