Hey i got a 94 DX, and i was wondering what the benifits of putting an EX head onto my DX block? Also would it be worth the money and effot put out? Thanks a lot guys!

 

it would give more than 120 hp than just 95

 

there will be a gain in power, but it's recommended to get an Si/EX tranny also; the tranny really helps out a lot, even if you leave your DX engine as is.

as stated above the tranny swap is your best bet. i would do that before doing the head swap it will make a bigger difference than the head swap alone. the ex/si tranny has much shorter gearing and has closer ratio's making it much better for performance than the dx tranny. i swapped my 99 cx tranny which is the same as a dx for an ex and it made a big difference.
