i think if you're re-painting your car anyway, and have the extra $$$ or knowhow to do it yourself, you should. looks ill IMHO.

the only thing i hate is when the moulding and the gap are eliminated, leaving the side of the car flush.

i think it looks good. but a waste of money really to have it done if you already have moldings. doesn't bug me as much as DC moldings.
