why would you have to swap inside rails? i thought all 1996-2000 rails are the same. for eg/dc seats you gotta swap the inside rails tho.

Well, the seats are just like any other Civic coupe seats. They're just a different pattern, holes in the headrests and some other cars don't have the extra **** on the side.

naw you're wrong too, they have to be individuallly hand crafted from japanese steel because no 96-00 Civics are exactly alike. good try though

lol

They look the same!

What color is your interior? F or K? The fact that it's a hatch (therefore a lower trim than an Si or EX) probably has more to do with it.

Also '99-'00 seats in K appear to have a darker fabric than the '96-'98s.

The rails are the same. The ***** have nothing to do with the rails.

Then why come in here?

I was busy looking up the information. This guy could have probably found it had he searched.

And come to find out the Si and EX still have the same rails like I was trying to say (I said the ***** do not make the rails any different - and they don't).

I never said he had an EX.

Oh, and according to my boyfriend (who had Si seats in his '97 CX), they bolt right in with the same rails. Perhaps your rails had already been swapped?

That's because they're pretty much the same as any other trim's seats. It's a waste of money. He might as well just dye his own seats.

I couldn't figure out WHY the inner rail would be different since the floor pan on the coupes and hatches are the same (same carpet and all even).

I figured the reason the part numbers were different could have something to do with different options or parts attaching to the rail. Notice that the part number isn't for just the rail, but is for several different pieces including the rail. those clips coudl be different, but I didn't check their part numbers.
