B16B pistons in a gsr block with a b16 head is a little much. The valves to piston clearence is gonna be redicluasly close. I have a gsr with b16 head and b16 pistons. compression around 11.5:1. If your looking to get really high compression then I would get aftermarket pistons because the valves reliefs are gonna be bigger so you don't have piston to valve contact.......oh yeah. If your doing a poor mans type R get the itr pistons. Valve clearence won't be so bad.
What?
In all seriousness....don't go with PCT pistons. The reasons NOT to use them are ALL OVER this forum. I'm not going to go into it. Wanna find out why, LOOK.
www.zealautowerks.com calculator shows a roughly 11:1 CR using JDM B16 (P30) pistons with a stock Headgasket. Same setup with a 2 layer HG yields 11.26:1. Play with the calculator and see roughly what you'd have to mill off the head to get your desired CR.
