the "Identifying a B seires transmission" in FAQ isnt working for me and I couldnt find anything when I searched either.

I need to know wether I have a Y1/S1 or a YS1 tranny.. but is there a way to finding out short of taking it apart?

I have a JDM b16a fom an 89 crx

There is a badge on the transmission, visible from a top view of the engine bay that says Y1-1027148 where the tranny meets the block next to where the B16 is stamped.

I assume this means I have a Y1/S1 tranny but it wouldnt be the first time I was wrong.

Any help is appreciated!!
