ok today i replaced my headgasket on my d16y8 because it was leaking oil from the front corner by the distibutor.. well i get the head off and replace the head gasket and its still leaking i really dont know what it is because the motor still has good compression like if i get on it it doesnt lag or anything just like if nothin were wrong please help me out here im stumped

 

have you done a compression test? also do you have coolant in your oil? check all gaskets on the top end

 

Is the oil running down to the corner or is it leaking from the bottom of the head. It could be the distibutor o ring.

 

no it runs fine like nothin is wrong at all but u can see the oil on the side of the block on the corner by the distributor

 

its like on the corner but i cant tell exactly where it is comin from and it might be the dizzy o-ring but i didnt think to check it how would i be able to tell if it is bad or not?

 

Clean the area real good. watch the distibutor where it meets the head. ( start car) if it leaks replace if not keep searching till you find it.
