Default Differences between JDM CTR and USDM Si ?

Obviously they are both 4 door sedans and have the same chassis if I am not mistaken, but what are ALL the differences between the 2 ? I don't care to much about the engine which is rated at 222hp because a nice I/H/E can bump the Si's K20 to more than that amount to the Wheels.

What are all the differences with the suspension, chassis, and basically anything and everything I missed. I would like to know what can make a US Si, more of a performance car over the JDM CTR. Thanks.

LOL @ an I/H/E putting an Si at 222+ WHP. Seriously..

More or less everything is different. Engine, suspension, wheels, exterior panels, interior, dash, seats, etc etc.

I/H/E could never make a usdm si over 222 whp. youve got some wrong information. id love it if it were true, but it isnt.

the rear suspension is the same for the fd and the fa. the front is whats different, but im not sure what it is that makes it different.

i dont think you can compare the R to the Si without heavy modification.

My mistake, I have always read that rsx type s with i/h/e and Kpro would put out 220whp +/-, so I assumed it would be the same with the Si, I did not know.

But if you can go more into detail is what I am asking, I can obviously see that it looks totally different, but I would like to know in detail what makes the performance totally different. Thanks.

220 whp is equilvalent to around 240 +/- at the crank... damn i wish i had whatever i/h/e combo that could give that kinda power q:-)

you didnt mention kpro in your original post (OP)
with i/h/e and hondata 220 whp could be achieved (though kpro does not exist for us yet, the reflash yields gains close to what you mentioned)

x2...If you ran the same spring rates front and rear as a stock CTR + equivalent/thicker sway bars there would be a mild comparison in handling right? Well without factoring in tire/wheel size...

if ur talking about a stock type s and ctr. no.

a type s and an itr. yes.. well no actually.. u gotta add the lsd

usdm si sedan and ctr. yes. tire sizes are the same, but u gotta add the brembo and the top of the line potenzas they come with

Im pretty sure that the ctr uses a 18x7.5 rim while the si uses 17x7.

Ya thats what i was saying, but the CTR also runs an 18 inch wheel stock, where the Si only runs a 17 inch, don't know if this makes an incredible difference but its there...
