I have a 2000 CRV that "rattles" for about 2 minutes when I start the car and let it idle. The rattle sounds like a piece of tin (fan??) hitting something. It stops rattling when I start driving it.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Could be loose valves. They will tick until the engine warms up...

 

I just fixed this on my crv, it was the heat shield on the cat. Just unbolted it, now its perfect.
