1996 honda civic coupe $6000 OBO 56K
1st off i'm not a honda person so bare with me here.
Reason for selling it to have some extra cash. Price is OBO so don't bash this thread. As far as i know i am the 3rd owner of this car within the past few months. I bought the car from a guy who has had some real clean hondas in the past, and he bought it from some guy down in richmond VA who i assume did the motor swap(?) and had the car painted.
information about car:
Mileage: 223k+ on shell daily drive everyday, 2months ago previous owner of car in richmond, virginia told me the motor had roughly 70k miles on it when he installed it. so i assume less than 90k on motor nowadays.
*99-00 front end conversion
*front lip
*LS mesh wheels with BFG tires (195/55/15 i think i'll have to check to be sure)may need new tires
*Omni Adj. full coilover setup (been on the car for less than a month)
*Omni front camber kit (been on car less than a month, still needs to be adjusted)
*Omni rear camber kit (not installed yet, but may get around to it sooner or later)
*stock intake air box removed added a cone filter onto oem 'elbow' coming off Throttle body.
*apexi world sport exhaust sounds pretty good for a honda exhaust!
*SOHC nonvtec motor- does not smoke except near redline (6k rpm) hasn't done it in along while since i've had it but just throwing that info out there. I daily drive the car everyday to work and around town no issues at all. No grinds in the transmission although i'm sure the clutch could be changed, feels kinda sloppy but i've only owned 1 other manual transmission car.
*
*skunk2 shift ****
*aftermarket (blox?) rear lower control arms (blue in color)
**New parts**
99-00 foglight kit was included when i purchased car and haven't gotten around to installing them, will include them with purchase or car. OR part out.
Passenger side axle (has torn boot not an issue as of yet) New axle is sitting in the trunk of the car for swap down the road when needed. Does NOT click when turning.
Front brake Pads, Rear brake shoes will also be included with purchase of car if not installed by then.
I may be forgetting something. Car is located in Fredericksburg, Va.

your correct but gotta start someone to get a decent price for the car. so i decided on $6000 thats why it states OBO.
thanks for the info though..
kbb.com:
Private Party value: $4160 GOOD (the car is better than good condition)
suggested retail value:$5,955 Excellent for 90K miles on the motor which is doesn't have that yet... and its not excellent but def. more than good sooo yeah. $6000 is a good starting point i think.
thats not a SET price just a starting point.

Like i already stated $6000 was the starting offer then it says Or Best Offer (OBO) soooo i got some room to work with.
OBO means make an offer. . . you want to low ball me go ahead all i can say is no. If it sounds right then i may say yes.
I mean i may even take a trade for another clean honda but doubtful

camber kit adjusted in rear, along with rear end raised up. measurement of spring is 7" in the rear pretty stiff though. ride is nice and smooth again. rear tires took a beating with camber wear but i'm working on getting new tires here soon.
internet at home is messing up email me at lwoodplaya2k2@yahoo.com if you have any questions or interest until i can get the internet fixed at home. thanks

Just an FYI: you go by mileage on the chassis. Especially when the motor in that car is worth. . .oh let's be nice and say $250. Here's what KBB really says:
Good
$2,835
* Free of any major defects.
* Clean title history, the paints, body, and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems.
* Little or no rust on this vehicle.
* Tires match and have substantial tread wear left.
* A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail.
Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.
Fair
$2,355
* Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition.
* Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional.
* Tires may need to be replaced.
* There may be some repairable rust damage.

had a few people come and check the car out in the past week or so. 1 interested after tonight but still for sale until i have cash in hand. $4000 takes the car as is to include new brake pads, passenger side axle and rear brake shoes. and whatever other items i have for a honda.
