For now.

Good job genius. Guess we'll see you back in a few days when you manage to blow your motor into next year

Hope not for your sake. Don't worry too terribly much though, I over-revved the ol' H22 in my Accord on a few occasions and it held up for almost three years till it took in an AEM silly straws worth of water during some bad rains back in '04.

I'm reading your info, and I don't understand how you have a "high-flow cat" and a "test-pipe" ? Also does "JDMFOGLIGHTS", count as a modification ?

Ouch that does not sound good, I hope you did not do any damage but it sounds like you did not which you did get lucky! How did you go back into first? I know the Si shifter is great compared to my dad's C5 Corvette and don't even talk about the stock GTO shifter, that was probably the worst shifter ever!

hahah...its not a smart idea to brag about how you went street racing, miss shifted, loss, and possibly blew a motor.

Do a compression test just to make sure it is ok.

How long does the ECU hold data on an over-rev? I hope the OP doesn't go to Honda claiming warranty work later on down the road if there is damage.

not really....you'd be able to tell right off the bat if there is compression loss. i'd worry about rod or main bearing damage but you'd also tell right off the bat if that was the problem.

but hey it wont hurt to do a test anyway.

The guy in the GTP definitely couldn't drive if you were "winning".

I couldnt even picture myself mis shifting from 5 to 1st. Besides, shifting from 5 to 3rd is a big no no!!!!!!

If your already in fifth you should be over 90+ so down shifting to 3rd even rev matching is a bad idea.

(If you were racing)

I wish i could just pull drain plugs out of certain peoples cars in parking lots.

Those certain people are the people who race w/o being on a track
