91 dx dohc zc.. won't start.
I just picked up a 91 civic dx 4dr with a dohc zc swap. First, some back ground: Day i picked it up I noticed a slight hestitation at low rpm full throttle, thought tps might be out of adjustment(haven't looked into this). 2 days after I bought it the transmission blew up (broken shift fork) .. so I swapped in another trans. drove it around and it was running/driving good all day other than the occasional hesitation if I got on it too fast. I got home from work and it wouldn't start 2 hours later. It acted like it wanted to start, and started a couple times but died either a few seconds later or as soon as I touched the gas pedal, then eventually it was just turning over not wanting to start at all. I was close to E so I thought I might be low on gas. So I put some gas in it from the lawn mower can (not sure how old this gas is). Well it still wouldn't start. I pulled off the distributor and found it was seized up, wouldn't spin freely.. so I replaced the distributor.. and now its back to sputtering for a couple seconds and dying. I'm getting spark, fuel, I checked grounds, main relay is good, replaced fuel filter, plugs/wires are good, firing order is correct. No CELs. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction?
Check your timing. Also maybe try cleaning out your IACV, it might be stuck open/shut.
When it dies is the idle jumping around or does it start up and then slowly fall until it shuts off?

well it only started a hand ful of times but when it did start it was either idling super low (under 500 rpm) or it would idle at like 1200 for a second then slowly die off in another 2 seconds or so. I will check the timing but I don't think that would be it... It was running great, I shut it off, then it wouldn't start again... but I guess it could have jumped a tooth or something. Could it be fuel pressure related? I've only put $25 in this tank of gas but I don't think i'm getting very good gas milage (maybe 16 or 17 mpg).
-Edit- Forgot to mention, I'm using a pg7 ecu.
