im on here all the time looking at all the neato pictures and whatnot but i just looked in here and thought someone could help me.

i have a 1990 accord lx 4 door 5 speed f22a? 192k miles haha
only mod done to it is better ignition system and a gangster cool air/just a filter on the end of the stock intake.

annnywayys heres the problem

between 2k and 3k it seems, it likes to sputter, and make a clicking noise, and kick, and sound like ****.
i can control it depending on how much throttle i give it but most of the time im not going down hill so that little bit of throttle wont keep me up to speed.
if i floor it, the whole problem goes away.. but that kills my gas mileage and gas is just under $4 a gallon here.
it seems to work better in the mornings when its a little chilly.

oh and the head gasket needs replaced because it leaks.

someone help me find out whats wrong before i go buying new stuff i dont need?

 

turn your distributor 8mm clockwise and return to me.

 

yeah sound like a distributor problem

 

Have you checked the timing?
