Default write up on how to change ball joints?

I'm having bad creaking from my front end when its cold outside. I'm guessing its my ball joints or bushings.

I was wondering if anyone has found a write up on how to change these on a 98 accord? Can anyone tell me how hard it is?

there is some discussion about doing it, if you search the recent and archive you'll find it. But no write-up to actually follow.

Basic idea is you'll want to remove the knuckle and rent a ball joint press (looks like a big C-clamp) to get the lower ball joint out of the knuckle. For the upper, I'd just replace the whole arm, much easier.

But since you mentioned you here "creaking" I would first look at the sway bar endlinks and check the condition of the bushings and try greasing them. creaking/squeaking from the front end is very typical of the endlinks. I would definitely try that first.
