Starter grind Ques..
I just had a new stage 4 competition clutch put in and now my starter seems to grind in the second crank.
It was working perfectly fine before, the car will start right away in the first crank and I don't have a chance to let the key off after it fires up without it giving a quick grind. I have made sure the bolts are all tight and power connections are good.. It gives the sound of you trying to start your car while it's already running.
What might be a possible cause for this?

what kind/ year motor do you have and what kind/year tranny? sometimes you have to have dif. flywheel for certain trannys, and starters. ive done this before too. i have a b17 tranny and a 93 ls motor. i put a 93 ls starter and it skipped teeth on my flywheel. but who knows, i got my starter from napa so it was prob mislabled!
