Default Civic '06 - Need help with Aux Jack? Right Speakers not working with AUX

Sorry if i posted it in the wrong section but i wasnt sure it i should post it here or the audio. If it is can you please move it.

Okay,... Im having problem with my aux jack i believe. I've always used it and have been using for almost 2years. Ive used it with my iPod, Dell Axim, and sometime my laptop. One day i was riding home from school and i notice the right speakers in my car isnt working. I changed to CD and Radio and it worked fine. So it have to be my aux. Ive tested with all 3 things that i used so it not the electronics that i used.

If anyone know what is wrong or can help me fix it, please inform.

Edit: Also does anyone know why my time run fast over time. Like maybe after a month my time is 5min early. not a big deal but just wondering

have you tried replacing the aux cord? before buying one, borrow a friends to use test it out. i thought my cord was bad before but it turned out my ipod was defective.

i would def check if its the aux cord has the problem, if not. bring it to the dealer

check cord. then check device... easiest way is use other peoples stuff. if that stuff dont work get a pipecleaner and try and clean out the jack.. u can put a luil bit of rubbing alcohol on the end of it but not much.. if that doesnt work then u need a new jack... those jacks are garbage and someone needs to make something new and simple.. the stick on the inside and all kinds of other things..

I would be willing to put money on the fact that it is your cable. I had that same Belkin cable from Walmart. Junk! My left side speakers stopped working after having the cable for less than a month. I knew it was the cable when I would move it around and get the left channel to work. Replace your cable with a good one and you should be good to go.

I had the same thing happen to me after using a cheap cable for a while. Its from the constant bending of the cable (where it turns into cable from plug housing). I got a PC audio cable that is pretty solid and doesnt move a whole lot.. no problems since.
