Hot Import Nights in L.A.
my car was in the show
so i was there
i was at the far right back corner
black 6th gen hatch
i had a civichatchback.com floor mat sitting in front of the car
with civichatchback.com stickers on the side
all in all i thought the show had mostly ugly cars
but there were a few nice clean cars
the phoenix yellow ctr was really nice
he was in front of me on the roll in
he said he bought his car for 20g's
ill post up some pics when i get back home

For some people, these shows were never COOL in the first place, and will probably never be. Unfortunately the word "show car" means just that, a car that looks aestheticly pleasing. Unfortunately, the strongest influence in styling comes from alot of true race cars, and more expensive sports cars. Thus, they begin to make something look like something its not. Is this wrong? Should a car with BMW gills have to have a 250+HP inline six and stock leather? Does putting s2000 head lamps on a $2000 car make you a bad person? The answer is no, unless they came off of someone elses car without their permission.
The fact remains that these shows are catered to this crowd, and are dominated by this type of vehicle.
Can anyone think of a better way to improve HIN besides boycotting it?
I thought every car that AJ Racing brought to the Vancouver Import Showoff we attended was a work of art, and would own any one without a doubt. But there are still people that don't understand the dark wheel theory and have never heard of spoon. Would you guys rather see these cars at Laguna Seca getting in your way?
Most of the guys I know with riced out imports belong in a slow, automatic piece, and would probably kill themselves on a race track.
Everyone has their own personal style and opinion.... these events are a way of making yours heard world wide.

i remember last year the fee to go in was 20 bucks! ahhaha...has the price rise??? if it did
The price did rise.
Too damm expensive for something like that IMO.
Maybe I just outgrew it (not that it makes me "cooler") but does anybody see a downfall in interest in these shows?
