Re-route wastegate into downpipe
hi,
Are there any problems doing that^? i never really see it done on Ext. wastegate hondas and im not really keen on the noise of open dumptube setups. I know its more work but are there any problems doing it, i cant think of any.

ive got mine re-routed at the oil pan, near the 90 degree bend..
i personally like hearing my turbo spool, rather than hearing a loud exhaust leak thats in my face.

none, people say there is a loss in power,
i call bullshit on that, i ran open dump and closed dump, and i couldnt feel a difference at all, just make sure you got a big, free flowing exhaust, no restrictions, so that extra air doesnt get backpressurized..

I would also like to know for sure as my new build will require the screamer tube to be plumbed back into the down pipe, UK tracks (circuit) have very very strict policy on noise, static is easy to pass, trouble is when you hit vtec and boost you’re black flagged.
Is there a rule of thumb that‘s used to re-route the screamer into the down pipe?
Personally, I would like to leave it open but this restricts my track days,,,
