Is this a good deal?
I found a 92 Prelude (I beleive it's 4th generation) listed locally for $4000. The engine is H22a, mileage 120k, tranny is good (No grinds), exterior is 8 out 10 and overall the car is in mint condition. I don't how much luds go for, that's why i need to know, if it's I'm gonna close this deal ASAP.
I'd definitely grab it before a hardcore Prelude enthusiast gladly slaps the money in seller's hand. From a turnaround standpoint its a decent deal. But if you are into Ludes or Hondas in general your getting a nice setup for a good price, especially with all the dirty work done. (H22A swap)
As with any engine swapped car, I would definitely inspect the quality of the install and double check the ECU wiring. Since it was originally a S model a few more than just the VTEC wires had to be run.
