Bad brakes after a hard run?
Eh.. I'm wondering if this is a common problem or not. I'm running a stock brake system in my 90 GS, and after about an hour of backroads bombing, I could feel a HUGE decrease in the ability to brake easily. Specifically, I had to floor the brake pedal all the way down just to get a little bit of a response, and even then it wasn't very confident. I'm wondering, which component in the brake system would cause this problem, and what are you guys using to alleviate it?
You may have boiled your brake fluid. Get ATE superblue or type 200 gold (same stuff different color) or Motul RBF 600. Did you check your pads and rotors?
haha i got that from my friends EX civic last night after i killed it, a lot of the loss is due to heat once they cool down it returns to normal...but the road i was tracking is like a road race course so i was braking speeding a lot more then anything nomal. but on the note of brakes my LS did not have that same problem on the same road i love my 4 wheel disc brakes

I recommend Axxis Ultimate's for pads, and Brembo blanks for rotors. This is what I use. Pads have some good bite for street and autox use.

Best advice anyone can ever give...stay away from slotted crap and get the brembo blanks, also consider upgraded brake lines and some good fluid and you'll be stopping like a pro.

I think you either boiled your brake fluid or your brake pads/rotor heated up to the point where their starting to fade..I have Brembo Blanks and Hawk pads along w/ Dot 3/4 brake fluid and I like this setup a lot.. my car stops pretty well.. I got my stuff for my G3 from http://www.collettimotorsports.com $28/rotor (fronts) and $20/rotor rear + $10 ship.. pads were like $80 I think...
Axxis Ultimates are also good.. they can be found at carbotech http://www.carbotecheng.com for about the same price as the Hawks..

I can't believe noone's said this yet - you need to bleed your brakes.
When you boil the fluid (which it sounds like you did) you need to bleed the air out of the lines to regain stock levels of braking. And preventing this particular problem from happening again is simple - get better fluid. Even the Valvoline DOT 3/4 stuff you can pick up at Autozone is far better than stock - & only like $4 a bottle. The DOT 5 stuff is usually overkill only a street-only car.
If you're still experiencing fade after the fluid upgrade, it's time to look into pads (and rotors, if necessary).
