I dont' see anything wrong with that. I fit that same Greddy kit on my 4th gen with no problems. Go For It!

those shops that say it wont fit what do they say wont "fit"? while you are at it please check the dimensions of the model years and tell me what the difference is.....Again i said dimensions not block differences not trim differences etc

I doubt that it would make a difference but I might as well throw it out there. From what I remember, Honda actually made a few tweaks to boost the HP output by about 10 on a certain model year and up. Maybe the different tuning/compression would interfere with the tuning solutions provided with the kit. I doubt it would be incompatible, but it is a high possibility that you wouldn't be CARB legal.

The turbo kit will fit all 5th gen preludes perfectly. The greddy turbo kit is NOT carb legal. IF you want boost the only option for you is a Jackson Racing Supercharger. It is carb legal.

i just talked to greddy and they told me the original one was but the kit was updated and comes with the Emanage now, so if you have the kit with the Emanage then no, if you have the old FCU then yes it is CARB legal so i would need to get the kit and a FCU so that when the time comes to smog it will pass.

thanks for all the help if any one knows any more info please fell free to comment

they also told me well most places as long as you have the CARB info from the website then they will just make sure that its the correct kit and wont look at the Emanage, its the same tune as the FCU so it will pass smog just on paper its not legal anymore. but they really dont look for the Emanage and u can go to http://www.arb.ca.gov will have all the carb #'s for our products and you can just print it out and take it with you

so after two weeks of looking around and talking to people i found out the cit is no longer a CARB legal kit it was like 3 year ago but now its not. so all i can do now is Jackson Racing Supercharger if i want to stay CARB legal if any one finds a nother kit that is pleas tell me thanks.
