why does my car bog in 3rd when i hit vtec

honda civic SI with a b16 I/h/E/cams/IM.... can someone tell me why my car bogs when it hits vtec down shifting to 3rd it bog for a sec and then goes but my 3rd lags but 4th pulls hard. maybe i need a tune or need more fuel. i dont know can someone help me out. thanx

ps: the cams are blox stage 2 cams with cam gears,AEM v2,sk2 IM,piping to a ITR muffler.

If you aren't using any type of tuning such as a VAFC at the very least, (or hondata, Crome, Neptune, etc) that is more than likely where your problem is. Once you change cams, you need tuning or it won't run right.
