i just bought this car... ive never had a k series engine..... whats the difference between the rsx type s k20 and the civic si? what can i do engine wise.i heard vtec is different and i searched and saw some thread on a dude who wanted his vtec to be louder.. .... not bolt ons i know that... but cams pistons, etc. i wanna build my engine..money aint a thaNG. i kinda miss my b series...

The si has the runt of the k series (k20a3). The type s has the slightly better k20a2, which is ranked about 30 more hp than the si. Not a bad motor, but only has vtec lobes on the intake cam , so your not gonna hear it as much as the type s
