auto to manual parts cost
how much would parts for auto to manual cost? just like a rough estimate. im planning to do one and i found a shop that is charging me $400 for labor? that sounds reasonable to me.
spend that $400 on something else.....do it yourself that way you can get more familiarized with your car...drop the auto trany put in the manual trany install the clutch pedal and clutch mastercylinder run a line to the solenoind on the tranny change your brake pedal pop the shift linkage thhrough the bottom of the car bolt it up and your good
Might wanna try search im sure there is planty of info. I did this swap in my 95 LS years back so my memory of what parts are needed and what they cost may be a bit shaky but here goes
Tranny - 100-900 all depends on what ya want, bone stock LS all the way to built JDM ITR
Linkage - 50-100
Torque mount - 160ish brand new from Honda i think
Tranny mount - HASsport one was like 250 when i got mine
Pedals - 50-100
Lines and cylinder - 50-100
Clutch and flywheel - big variance, used to brand new, performance to bone stock
Most stuff is salvageable so the prices vary a good bit. You can always find deals on some of the OEM stuff on sites like this one, if youre a patient person. As far as the labor. 400 is a good price most shops wanted 800 when i had mine done. I ended up paying 200 but had the bitch pin come out on me on my way home, simple fix and well worth 600 dollars. I had mine done when i was just getting into cars, with what i know now i can confidently say that i could have done it on my own. It really isnt that difficult of a procedure.
