Default Loud road noise

Well, when I am driving and hit 40+ mph road noise gets really loud. I jacked up my car today to see if there was any play with my wheels, which could hint at a bad wheel bearing, but there wasn't, besides what sounded like the steering rack. I was wondering if maybe my wheel bearings need to be greased?
I got new tires and an alignment in March or April... If that helps any..
The noise comes from the front too.

Please halps meh

I was thinking it could be the tires as well. I need to find a friend to trade with me. They are Sumitomo or something. They are extremely soft , ask freddy..

I know this is an old thread but My girlfriend's civic is doing the same thing. It's not the tires because it does it when it's up on blocks. I'm thinking maybe a hub bearing??

Just wondering if anyone has ever resolved the issue.

i have the same problem with my civic. the noise seems to becoming from the front of my car too. it could be the tires cause i know my tires are worned out.. but you said you purchased new tires a month or two ago. soo i dunno.

also i had a hole underneath my car too
which caused such an IRRITATING air gushy sound . not saying you have a hole or crack but it could be one of the problems. i got it patched up but the roaring sound is still there.

i use to have road noise when i had my pirelli's. it was completely gone when i changed tires.

...but now i have another noise that comes from the rear. it's like a rumbling noise thats very similar to the sound of a flat tire.

i work at a honda dealer and we get alot of cars in with 40+mph roaring. it's either one of 2 things. eith the wheel bearings or tire chop. wheels don't have to have play to be bad. you can jack up the front of the car and drive the car to 40mph and see if you still hear it to be sure it's bearings. or when your suspension is blown it can cause the tires to wear into ridges that create a load roar. swap the front tires to the rear and see if it goes away. those are the two easiest ways to tell which.

I noticed the EM2's generate alot of road noise also, I have two EM2's and both are louder than my 90 CB7 with the same wheel's and tire's! I'm pretty sure the EM'2's are tin cans with minimal sound deadening in the floors, doors, trunck ect... can you say dyno mat? With some money and time it could be silent like a benzo, with 20" lorenzo's
