clogged sock causing f.pump to draw too much current? tried the search(server down)
The interconnect on the harness under the dash above the clutch is getting warm.
I occasionally have to reseat it to get the pump to run. It shows damage from overheating but is not shorting out.
I have no fuses blowing and all are the right rating.

Would a clogged sock on the pump cause the pump to draw too much current?
It is an aftermarket "oem" pump, perhaps it is the wrong one?
**
I cant say that the connector was undamaged b4 replacing the pump.
I know something funny is going on in the tank cuz the pump will suck fumes on a rapid or downhill stop b4 the fuel gauge shows 1/4 full.
I have been refilling at around 7.2gal empty to avoid it cutting out.

I heard a rumor that there are fake walbro fuel pumps being sold on ebay.

no, not the main relay(which is fine btw)
that isn't over the clutch pedal.
The "interconnect"(wrong name oops) is the jumper connector taped to the harness, above the clutch pedal.
You will find it in the helms electrical manual page 201-5 picture #35
