HELP PLEASE!!! skunk2 cam gears SQUEAL/TICK
I installed the skunk2 adjustable cam gears last night and everything went smooth. Woke up this morning and everything seemed fine. Went to the zoo for 4 hours started up the car and I could hear this loud tick/clicking sound, its also like a high pitched squeal. I popped the hood and can hear it coming from where the cam gear sits. the thing is that after driving around for 15-20 minutes the sound goes away.
EDIT: as the car accelerates the tick occurs more often.
cliff notes
installed skunk2 pro series adjustable cam gears
car ticks/squeals on start up
sound goes away after car is fully warmed 15-20minutes

I bet your timing belt is loose, it probably needs to be tensioned more.
I had the same problem when my Skunk2 gears were installed (regular gears, not pro).

did you take off the back and front timing plastic cover? that could be it because aftermarket cams don’t fit good with those on. GL

Could just be from that cover not being on anymore
go over everything before it breaks and you have a REAL problem
1> timing belt ( everything aboout it , check it out
2> cam gears installed correctly
3 > not that i think it is , but
Pull the valve cover , and just look at where the cams are , see if there is any Shavings or anything that looks abnormal
4> AND I CANT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH !!!! PUT YOUR PLASTIC COVERS BACK ON !!!!!
IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR CAM GEARS CUT 2 HALF CIRCLES INTO THE VALVE COVER , AND THE OTHER 2 HALF CIRCLES ON TEH PLASTICS
DO NOT LEAVE THE TIMING BELT EXPOSED
from personal experience , i left all those plastics off , and cut my valve cover all apart by the gears ,
My alternator belt popped off , hit my timing belt and got sucked into the lower timing case , and basically bent almost all my valves
Go check those things and see if it is those things

i havent driven the car since i started to hear the ticking. when i got off work today i was able to check it out with a friend of mine.
it turns out that the 6 bolts were loosened and it was set to the far left, the bolts were actually scratching up the inner side of my valve cover
, and yes we both did make sure that they were tightened before installing the cam gears. im not really sure how they were loosened but the ext cam was more loose than the int cam

i had the Skunk2 Cam Gears Tuner Series and 1 year ago i had the same Problem...most of the screws where loosened...
They damaged my timing belt and one screw penetrated my valvecover

I can only recommend you to fix the scews with a mild bold retaining device like Loctite
