Summit Point Shenandoah
Ran with TPM at Summit Point Shenandoah yesterday and things looked pretty bad early on when going there and even when we arrived. It poured the whole way there and was still raining when we got there. By the time of the rider's meeting it had stopped and we also learned that they were changing up the layout because there was a huge lake where we'd normally be running through. So in order to still run we did the Bull Turn which is an exact replica of one of the Nurburgring turns. Here's the layout:

The turn is like a 20 degree concrete banking that you can carry a lot of speed through. Took a little getting used to but after a few laps it was great.
The weather also decided to agree with us too. The rain let up and things started drying up and by lunch time the sun came up and it was on. Whole track was dry for the after lunch sessions except for a few puddles that were easily avoided. I worked with a few coaches and got bumped up to Red group too by the end of the day. They said for my first time ever on that track I was doing real well since it's such a technical course. Lugging the RC51 around was a bitch but oh well. I'll do it again for sure. Pics to come.

It's Team Promotion's intermediate group. They run Red (Intermediate), White (Beginner), and Blue (advanced). I've only done 2 days (3 if I count the wash out 2 weeks ago) with this group and really picked my speed up this year. When I ran with the instructor last sessions he told me I got way in front of him cause it took him 2 laps to pass a couple guys
In the white group most people just got in the way but you're allowed to pass on the outside and any time the bike is straight up and down. Got most of them on the brakes and a few on the outside which is giving me good practice with passing. Now I'll be mid to lower Red group speed but I'll get to see where I can really make up time.
Nesba I'm still in Beginner but hopefully when I get back with them I can move up quickly and STT I'm in intermediate. I'd be really happy if I can make advanced group with one of the groups by the end of the year.
