I was looking around my civic and looked at the fuse box inside the car . One of the fuses was missing . When I looked up the diagram of what each fuse is for it said "Day Time Running Lights" or something close to that. I was gonna put in a fuse to see what would happen but I never got around to it . Check it out !
it has to be automatic
like always happen each time the car is started
is there things i would need to buy
i could prob find it @ the local junkyard
any input is appreciated............

Wouldn't this do the trick?
On the ignition switch, there is a wire that only receives 12V when the ignition is in the ON position. Find which wire it is, and re-wire your parking lamps and/or headlights to this same wire and they will turn on everytime you turn on the car. The only downfall is that you would no longer be able to control the parking and headlights from the stalk or button, depending on what type of car you are doing this to. Just your high beams.....
Make sense? Yes? No?

I thought "day-time running lights" meant your headlights are on at all times the car is on, not just a small "city-light" inside the headlight.

well some dtrl pulse your headlights and some run @ 7 volts or so~ there to save your life of headlights...you can just turn your headlights on or what ever...but the real deal would make your bulbs last longer.
yeah, usually on most cars with DRL's, it is the high beam that lights up at like half power.. and on cars with one bulb for hi/low..its just that bulb at half power.. a city light in a civic housing wont do the trick. they're not noticable in the day time.
