ok, so if anyone has been tracking my threads, i couldnt get my speedo to work, and after carefully looking up, wiring and replacing the electronic vss with another unit, i finally got the speedometer to work.

but here is the odd thing, the odometer doesnt work, nor does the trip meter.

but the speedo works perfect.

damn that sucks, I dont know exactly how this cluster works but I assume the odometer gets a signal from the speedo.
Have you tested the connections running to the odometer? I would guess it probably gets the same signal/volts that the speedo does.

 

Try plugging in a different teg cluster and see if it works then...could be your cluster just being bad.

 

most likely the person you got the cluster from rolled it back and broke it

 

i know this might sound a bit ghetto

but sometimes when i start my car the rpm shows at 0 and wont increase at all as i drive...so sometimes i gotta tap it a bit on the side of my dashboard and then it will start working
