check engine light on 97 dx hatchcrap
stock motor with 
no mods at 84000 through a checkengine light ,was wondering how to find out what code and why but couldnt find the service connecter to short out any help would be appreciated , thanks

there's a blue plug in the area where the computer is. take off the plastic piece that covers the computer and there should be a blue plug up there some where.
get a wire w/ both ends stripped..stick wire in the plug and the check engine light will flash the code.

go to the ecu....get a paperclip and find the blue plug with 2 pins....Connect the pins together using the clip and turn your car to the on position...go to http://www.jdmfan.com and find out whats wrong....
