i have a honda 1999 accord coupe ex, the door handle on the driver side has a jammed key hole from recent theft. i'm figuring out how to take off the door handle and to remove the key from the handle if possible. i've looked all over the internet and haven't found anything that gives me good enough detail of how to exactly remove the handle from the door, pretty much i'm at the part where the metal backing holds the handle by the lock back side. dont know if you this makes sense but if you might know some info that could help it will be appreciated

 

there should be 2-10mm bolts that hold the handle assy, that are inside the door.
You also need to remove the latch and lock linkages.

FWIW you can take your new lock barrel to a locksmith and have the tumblers set to fit your ignition key.
