Default need help with overheating

i have a 92 civic hatch with a b18a1 block, and gsr head, my car is overheating, ran fine the last few days, but felt a little doggy when punching on the gas, had funny smell. i went to change the oil, had it drained and as i open my case of oil, i realized i bought the wrong kind, and put my old oil back in, was a little low, but only drove approx. 50-70 miles. so i changed the oil and filter this morning, car ran fine last nite. now my upper radiator hose if hot bubble and has pressure, lower hose is cold and has less pressure. when i was changine my oil, i noticed that the pan was dented, and when i took off the old filter, no oil came running out like normal. thought it was odd but wrote it off as if it was a little lower on oil than i thought, help me please! when it was over heating too, my fan never came on, and another thing, it can idle, for a long time, and i can rev it up, but it only overheats when i am driving, and if i turn off the car it cools down really fast
