its up to you. u can wait till later when the 09 comes out and if u dont like it get an 08 on clearance. well heres some help with colors.
ill make it easy and spell out the colors instead of abbreviating them.
-- nighthawk black pearl - looks really good and it has small blue sparkles in it. hard to keep clean. micro scratches are easy to see
--fiji blue pearl - indeed a neck-breaker when its clean. most attention when driving. has a purple-ish tint to the blue which u can see at different angles. also hard to keep clean. micro scratches easy to see. hardest color to obtain without a transportation fee.
-- taffeta white - looks real good on an si coupe. definitely an attraction. micro scratches you cant see unless you're 2 mm away from the car. dont really have to keep washing it to look clean cuz its a light color.
-- alabaster silver metallic - doesnt stand out, the generic silver really. nobody will really break their neck to see you when your driving. when its dirty it still looks clean.
-- rallye red - definintely an neck breaker, cop magnet, micro scratches are easy to see in the sun. when its dirty it looks kind of clean still. you will get attention from every1 driving.
-- habanero red pearl - not a vibrant as the rallye red, has the orange-red tint, but its still an odd-ball color and will make an effort to look at you cuz the color is one you dont really see often. micro scratches are easily visible, when its dirty it still looks clean.
i hope this was of some help in your decision.

helps quite a bit. o and as for the 2009 Honda Civics, i was at a sales meeting and...
THERE ARE NO IMPORVEMENTS OR CHANGES ON THE CIVICS... the only thing we were notified about next year's changes is that we're seloing the FCX (watervapor compressed engine [pretty unique huh?]).
new improvs on FIT and a new PILOT, that's about all, so, better luck for civics next time right?
++but if anything pops up about the 09's or anything further, i'll let you all know for sure?
++
BTW thinking of the White coupe =D

looks like you'll be able to narrow down your decision.
sounds like you're a honda salesman? if that's the case why even ask us for advice.....you should know everything about these cars and you look at them everyday so color choice should be no problem for you.
also, you already own a coupe....why have another coupe? get the sedan dude.

lol, idk the colors are just so many to choose from. i may be a salesguy but when it comes to MY own car, i get so out of head, it's gotta be perfect when it comes. haha. you kno i was thinking maybe a sedan type r conversion... idk, maybe thinking too over my head again. i usually get flamed for doing crazy ideas. kinda sux tho, racing isnt what i used to see it as anymore cuz half the people are ********* at the meets. but thx all.
eh, if I were you I'd get something a bit more different than the Si, since you plan to keep the EX. There's a lot of attractive options around the Si price range, so I'd really advise you to look around some.
fortunately, the ex's reliabilty, good fuel economy and comfort make a great daily. that gives you the freedom to go out and buy a toy/project, if finances allow.
As for colors, it's really up to you. I picked silver out of practicality. easy to maintain, prob higher chance for resale. My main concern was to keep the car low key. Theives are my biggest worry. But there also ppl trying to race me, cops, etc. Eventually I plan to take off all Si emblems, the Vtec side sticker, and replace the wing w/ a hybrid one. I am also generally lazy when it comes to washing my car, so it works best for.
Aesthetically, I think Rally Red is the best color. it's a badass shade of bright red, (not everyone can get it right, and this is Honda's best attempt so far save for Firecracker Red imo). However, as someone mentioned it grabs too much attention. I'd also imagine red fades e/out proper attention.

i really love civics though, the si was what i intentionally wanted to get, but i couldn't. but now i can, while keeping my ex. one thing that i REALLY wanna wait for that's coming out, hehe.... is the hatchback civic... coming out REALLY soon and mite be an 09, BUT! we dont know yet, so if u wanna take a look, go look at a euro civic and there u have a new civic coming out.

not a matter of worth but rather matter of car/paint maintenance. do you have the patience/skill to maintain a black car?

Should be like me, keep the ex and get a used s2k for fun. Saves the money to mod a little bit.
I wouldn't get the coupe since it looks pretty much the same. Sedan might be the best option if you want to stick with civic.

I picked up a 08 white si coupe last week.
I've had an obsession with white since my 1995 eg so my color decision was made easy. It seems like the decision would be easy...you either dont like, like, or love.
