car has been down, now cd changer doesnt work?
so about 3 weeks ago i was driving about, and my car started to sound funny, as the sound got progressively louder i pulled over to inspect the engine bay. turns out my keyway key inside the crank pulley had failed and was completely obliterated, and the crankpulley had shaken itself loose and proceeded to send all the attached belts cascading from the engine bay. so obviously i haven't been driving it lately. i got my new pulley keyway, crank pulley bolt and all the necessary belts all together, but before i started working on it i tested out the electronics to see if the battery was still good (original Acura battery on a '96 integra). i have a 6cd changer that was installed previous to my buying the car, always worked fine before. i turn the key and no cd registers in the changer. i check it there are cds in it, its in the changer all the way. no reason i see why it should not be working but there is a clicking noise coming from the changer located in the trunk. when i get the car running again i will futs with it more but im just looking for some possible diagnosis from anyone who knows a thing or two about electronics (cd changer is made by alpine)
Long story short: car has been down for about 3weeks, go to check electronics, 6cd changer no longer works never had an issue with it before. why would this happen?
