i have a 05 acura rsx-s.

i asked a dealership how much it would cost to get my key copied.

they said it would cost 120 dollars and i have to schedule an appointment to get it programmed. wtf. is there a cheaper way to do it?

like buy an acura key copy it at walmart and program myself?

not the remote but the actual key.

nope i went through the same some kind of chip inside the damn key

 

yep need the chip inside the key to start engine... yeah if you have no key your going to have to pay the price to drive your car...

 

same here of what they told me, $120 for the key and set-ip an appiontment and pay another $100 for chip. it does sucks!! tell you i got only 1 key for my dc5. i have been careful not to lose it or locked inside my car. i aint rich but will have to face it soon or later
