CEL Codes 6, 8, 21
Hey guys I have a 90 CRX si with b16. I know what all the CEL codes mean but any idea on how to check/fix them. I have searched and I found out how to check for CEL Code 8 by shooting the wires on the dizzy and the ECU. The big one is #21. Is there a way to check it. I cleaned the screen and the oil is clean. Is there a certain weight of oil I should be using? where online can i get one? I am overseas and paying for parts in Euro is not cheap.
The car has been sitting in my garage for about a year now. I have finally came home to drive it and now it's driving me crazy to figure it out.
Lastly, Anyone know how to check a water temp sensor?

The TW sensor is a variable resistor that changes with temperature. If you have an analog multi-meter and a lot of patience, you could remove the sensor, dip it into a pot of boiling water, and then meter it as it cools off. A pain in the ****, but the typical failure mode is they give an erronious reading at some point and the meter needle will jump around. A digital meter would work too, but you have to have a good eye. Just checking the resistance at some arbitrary temperature point may not reveal a problem, unless it's totally whacked out. If I recall correctly, it should read around 250 ohms on a warm engine.
