Default Tire Pressure

I just bought a set of M&H slicks. They are 24.5x8.5x13" and I was wondering what would be a geed pressure to start at. The car is a 2000 EX coupe w/ a built turbo motor. It has an LSD if that makes a difference. This is my first time running on the slicks so any input would be great. Thanks

i dont know where to tell you to start because i had great coaches start me off.

you need to find the line where it doesnt bog and doesnt spin. i run 6.25 - 6.5 psi +-

start a little higher and see how it feels up top.

i would say start at 9-10lbs and work your way down from their, if you have a 2 step i would set it around 6500 and work it up or down from their.

Do you know how to preload?

For starting out I agree at least 10psi. You want to get used to the bite before you lower the pressure and risk breaking something.

Yes I understand a little bit about pre-loading. I am just going to have to see what she does on the track. The fastest I have been down the 1/4 mile was a high 13 in my friends WRX. So I am not sure how the thing is going to react going as fast as I think it will go. I am hoping to get into the 12's to start on moderate boost levels. I am ordering all of the safety gear next week. Roll bar from Autopower, new Sparco seat, 5 point harness, Sparco suit, gloves, helmet, shoes, neck brace, and so on. I have to admit that I am a little nervous w/ all of the pre-loading, 2 stepping, 60 ft times, ect. Thanks for the advise on the pressure settings. I am also ordering a 0-15 psi gauge to really dial in the pressure.
