hi guys i'm from mtl canada,just finished rebuilding a 98 itr that was stolen- recovered from bronks new-york ,it took me a while to find all the parts,but the car is a 100% accurate now except i don't have the plate with the number on the shoulder pad,how can i now wich # is my itr? i hardly doubt i can buy this plate from acura or honda japan,and even then if i could i'm pretty sure it wouln't have any number on it..... atleast if i knew the nuber i could try to have it replicated somewhere.thanks guys.

Thre numbers were placed on the factory and I believe no record was kept. It was basically a marketing thing.

See if the dealer that sold it kept a record. Otherwise, nothing you can do.

i guess you can "adopt" another r's number i see used armrests still with # plaques attached for sale all the time...theres one on ebay now. just gotta find one that says "98-#" on it....wish could help you more

 

I beleive someone has a record somewhere.

Honda do something with a out a reason?? Com'on they had more in mind then addvertising/ money.

 

If they did record it, it's very hard to find.

bet there is such a thing...plus info on the ever debated yearly production numbers...

 

Mine was stolen, and I got a blank one frm Acura.

p.s. I remember something about an R being recovered from a river a few months ago, or you could check ITRCA and look up the year, maybe one from your area will be liste as stolen, and bingo, you got your number.

If you still need the part number, I will post it up as it's in my arm rest compartment right now.
