Default EF Innovative Mounts front crossmember...

So I finnally got my I/M crossmember and bushings today after they where on back-order for what seemed like a century... and this is what it looks like on my Si...

Seems like it hangs quite low... is this normal? its like 2.5 inches lower then my oil pan!

It sits just as low on my EF. It's nice if you have a low oil pan or header though.

I have the same crossmember and it sucks. It sits so low my car scrapes everything. I was completely dissapointed with the poor design and will get another brand soon. They make one called the "high mount" that doesnt sit as low. It looks like a mount for a plow lol. Good luck and maybe you can return it if you didnt bend it in half yet from hitting potholes.

That's either a bar way outa spec, or you're not using the right hole locations.

Pic of the bar before install? Pic of bar mounted inside engine bay or mounting location?

Edit: Appears reading up on it, that bar just sucks, sorry. Get a full race. from me.

I have one and occasionally scrape when I don't angle my car on dips enough.

Not a big deal though, I'd rather scrape my x-member then my oil pan or downpipe.

Yeah i think he has the old style.. . which uses the stock radius rods. When i purchased the new innovative traction bar, the guy i purchased it from had the old innovative design and we compared it...and it sat 2 1/2 - 3 inches lower.

Its not really the old style... it's just the front crossmember "replacement" compared to their traction bars...
