Default GT35R....Capable of 9's in DC2 ???

Fully built gsr motor sleeved & pnp, can it produce enough power to trap high enough to break 9's ??? In a DC2 (as the haters call it LEAD SLED)...I have a Peakboost t3 manifold and trin to decide what to upgrade to...

I'm not gonna say impossible but a challenge for sure. I made 600whp on a 35r and trapped 139 at 2550lbs. I would imagine with a sub 1.6 60ft, some weight shaving any a bit more power(I run a small exhaust housing) it would be close.

I would say probably not based on the people that are running 9s and the kind of power and weight their running. Not to mention suspension setups and other things. 9s are pretty intense to achieve.

i went 10.0 @ 141 on a .63 T3 35r.

i think with what i know now i could do it. if you want to go 9's....grab yourself a T4 manifold and atleast do a 67. if you go 9.9 your going to want to go faster down the road, this will give you room to upgrade

A GT35R has MUCH MORE potential than what your friend made. They are good for max of 650ish whp so.............

yeah....its a build ls...but we had fuel problem..1000cc on stock fuel rail..the fuel pressure start dropping to 30psi at 5k-7k rpm..so the tuner stoped.

it made 110whp all motor. and 269whp on 7psi. hopefully we make over 400+ after the fuel problem get fixed.

This happens more than it should. People pick a GT35r for their stock LS and run 6psi. What a great setup

I agree with Joe. And you could always run the 35r with the T4 housing if you're hellbent on using the 35r.

If the car's setup properly, and you can drive well, I don't see a reason why it can't do it.

With the T4 housing doesnt the wheel get changed to a P-Trim? If so how can you really call it a GT35R anymore? Its more like a BB P-Trim SC61.

as far as power levels go, i have seen that the t4/35r makes maybe 50 more whp than the t3/35r. as for 9s in a dc2, better be good on that 60'.

the car made 616 on electromotive. i think a bigger exhaust housing would mave made a big difference. that was at 28lbs of boost, 12.5:1 compression (dont ask)

60's wernt great.....mid 1.6's 330's were in the mid 4.3's.

weight was more than 2400 and less than 2500, with me in the car. im about 170lbs

60's arnt the important part. its all in the 330

nice, I was just wondering because with that low trap it seemed like a RWD pass and not a FWD pass, you were pulling sub 4.3's in your Teg correct?

the coupe with the big turbo liked to stay in the 4.4's. i havnt gotten the integra anywhere close to dialed in but have got it back into the 4.3's. i need to get it in the 4.2's to keep up. hopefully once i get it back on the track and dialed in i can do that.

No that is incorrect. You can get the GT35R with the same GT35R turbine wheel but just a T4 housing, I have sold quite a few of these from Precision and I think ATP Turbo may have them also . It is true you can get an SC6176 BB which is the same exact compressor wheel as the GT35R and get a 76 trim aka P trim wheel in it or even a 52 trim Stage 5 wheel.

If you need to stay with a T3 flange'd turbo, the T3/T67 H.O. would get the job done

I was going to post the same thing, also some recommendations would be a Precision SC6176S T3 version Ball Bearing or Non BB, SC67 BB or Non BB from Precision T3 turbine, also Borg Warner S362 or S366 in a T3 version. If interested in any of the above turbos vendors on here sell them, including me
