Im about 1000 miles in my Ls swap in my 92 vx hatch

just started to open it up every once and a while and whenever i punch it from low rpms in first gear (havnt tried in higher rpms yet) it kind wants to miss and sputter all the way through 1st.

And about half throttle in 3rd,4th, and 5th It kinda wants to be sluggish and laggy at various rpms after 3000.
Kinda pulls hard then not as hard at certain spots.

Could it be plugs or wires....or just the old fuel system

after cruising at about 75 or 80 for a couple of minutes i get a check engine light.

shows 43 i believe...any expirences?

I would get this code randomly even before the 1st gear sputter.
