Header selection for a NonVTEC B20Z
I’m looking at two headers at the moment; DC JDM 4-1 or Hytech replica
Which one would you recommend for my application and why?
Crower 403 camshafts
Skunk2 cam gears
Supertech valve springs
CAI
P.P. 68mm throttle body
Edelbrock Performer X intake manifold
DC 4-2-1 header w/2.5-inch collector mod
2.5-inch Carsound cat
2.5-inch crush bent exhaust w/SNL twin loop
Neptune EMS
Thanks,

i dont think youll rev high enough to really take advantage of big money headers so if you want to put a hytech knock off on then it wont hurt but dont expect gobs of power. headers like that make power in the higher RPMs. i saw a guy with a b18b with b16 pistons and 404's put a rage header (replaced a dc 4-1) and it made 0 power over the DC 4-1. maybe you might fare better with a 2.0 but still you have lower compression.
bottom line get one if you want cause it wont hurt but dont expect anything crazy.
in comparison you WILL make 5-10 hp more if you decided to put in 404 cams....

Yeah, that’s tempting…I could sell mines after I install the 404’s too…I need new mounts first through, the drag radials haven’t been too forgiving…
