Default HELP PLEASE! Buddy Club Spec II, doesn't fit!!too long, even the tip part has problems w/hangers

I"m confused as to if i got the wrong part

does BC make the Spec 2 for the non-type R integra? the box says
HONDA DC2

doesn't mention type R anywhere, also the B pipe portion looks like its too long (well the whole exhaust is too long) i ran a search and found out it could be because its the JDM version of the exhaust and the JDM cat's are shorter?
can anyone who has the Spec 2 on their ITR confirm this??

because i doubted that this was even the right application for my ITR, i tried to just attach the end pipe (the axle back part) and it's hangers were about a centimeter shorter on both ends so the rubber housings would not stretch far enough, I'm SOO lost on what i need to do to get this to work....

can anyone post pics and help its 3 am and I've been trying to install this thing for hours sorry if my post sounds delusional, I'm just really really lost right now, this shouldn't be this hard its just an exhaust...

also i checked evasive, jhp, password jdm, inline four, and they all list the Spec 2 for "DC2 ITR" none list an application for a non-Type R......

no where on my buddy club box does it say TYPE R or DC2 R or anything, i tried looking up partnumbers but buddyclub's website has no part numbers or even a phone number to contact, please help!

I Don't want to cut inches off of the pipe to make it work and find out this isn't even the proper application for the ITR, risking not being able to exchange it...

thanks in advance

and also, this is A USDM 01 ITR sorry i forgot to include that,

stock headers, cat exhaust, i didn't realize i'd have this many problems till i had the stock exhaust (from the cat back) removed and then realized when i put the BC Spec II on top of the stock exhaust and realize how much longer the Spec II was

i'm like about to cry

yes, the JDM length cat is shorter. you'll need a test pipe that is JDM length for it to fit.

or a new manifold/header and a JDM cat, the JDM cat has a larger ID than the US, so it won't fit correctly on your standard header.

think you'll need to put the stock exhaust back on

(incidentally, Type-R has the same length exhaust as any other DC2, only the DB8 is a different length)

Maybe somehow its a spec II for a 4 door?? Do they even make that???
Like tart said, it maybe be your cat since the jdm cat is shorter.
You can play around with test pipes, someone correct me if im wrong, but the skunk2/omni test pipe are adjustable and i think the pieces need to be welded. But test pipes + BC spec II = syanora eardrums!

1) You realize that's a horribly loud exhaust, correct? You don't know the meaning of loud until you hit the vtec xover. And with the insert in, you choke the car above 4000rpms and the noise isn't much better.

2) You need a JDM length cat.

3) test pipe with a SpecII. lol. Let me know how that goes for ya.

I guess you didn't research the SpecII all that much before you bought it?

eh not the input i was looking for,

its not that i didn't research the spec 2, and the itr is not a daily driver...

spec 2's fit ef's and crx's with b16's w/o modification and length problems...

so would this fitment issue be there as well for people who decide to go with lets say just a spoon N1???

any Japanese manufactured exhaust will have this problem.

you'd need to look to US or UK/EU for it to bolt straight up without length issues keeping the stock cat.

So you trailer your car then? Because even if your ITR is just a weekend HPDE/autox car or sunny day driver, this exhaust is too loud for any sort of fun on the road. Even some autox and HPDE events have noise limitations, and the SpecII will blow these away.

Took it out for a spin (since the R needed one after months or more like a year of sitting) and triggered atleast two cars that were parked at the next block You guessed it. I quickly turned around. Drove back into garage and took the BCll off.

i have this exhaust on my EG, ive had it for going on 3 years. when i got it.. it didnt fit on the stock cat.. i tried to research it but the exhaust wasnt as popular as it is now.. either way i got an omni test pipe and took the middle section out, with enough working at it.. its on, however the exhaust hangers rubbed the bumper support.. horrible sound i tell you. i daily the car with the silencer in and take it out for track and autox events. i will soon be switching to something a bit more quiet here shortly cause the wife hates riding in such a loud car! plus im getting tired of all the negative attention.. its bad enough i still drive a honda.
