i just put a dohc zc in my 91 hatch when i connected the batterey it was dead so i jumped it when i was going to start it i noticed the check engine light was on it was dim but it was on and i hadent yet put the key in the ignition so i cranked the car and the motor started evrything was fine then all of a sudden the car died and it smelled burnt inside where the ecu is located on the floor i looked at the ecu i opened it and it looks fine now the car doesnt start it has no spark now any ideas?

 

check the wires you had to cut at the ecu... maybe they are shorting out? or maybe you just fried your ecu.
