im picking up a 91 hatch on friday with only one problem i cant handle. upon stopping it will stall as soon as im fully stopped. it starts right back up again. i just dont know where to start looking. oh btw, its an auto transmission. its bone stock from the origional owner so i know it hasnt been messed with.

 

does the check engine light come on? Check to see if its throwing any codes.

 

it dosent have the check engine light on, so i assumed it wasnt throwing any codes. is this bad thinking?

 

Try turning up the the idle screw just a bit.It may be to low.
