i just bought a 88 honda civic dx. im not sure which motor it has in it. single cam if that helps any. Anyway i get it home and it starts acting up. it stumbles when i give it alittle gas and the rpms drop really low between shifts. The guy i bought it from said it was due to the intake "being too big" any help would be great.

Start by doing a tune-up. Oil Sparkplugs filter radiator flush see if it works.
